Maldives records 233 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 155 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 73,482. 

The 155 new cases include; 28 cases from the greater Male’ area, 70 cases from inhabited islands outside of Male’, 31 cases from operational resorts and 26 cases from islands under development.

Meanwhile, 347 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 69,378. 

With the new developments, the Maldives now has 3,883 active cases.

There are 27 patients in hospitals. 

4972 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
