COVID-19: 412 new infections, 753 recoveries in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced 412 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 67,950.

According to HPA, the new cases include; 239 cases from the greater Male’ region, 162 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 11 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 753 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 48,086.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 19,670 active cases.

There are 166 patients in hospitals.

5,082 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

Maldives has recorded 185 COVID-19 deaths.
