The luxury resort developed in Kuda Vilingili, an uninhabited island in K. Atoll, has been opened.

The Kuda Vilingili Resort, which lies a 30-minute speedboat ride away from the Velana International Airport, was opened last Saturday by Indian High Commissioner to Maldives Sunjay Sudhir.

The resort was developed by India’s Mfar Group, which acquired the island for resort development for 15 years back in 2013.

The resort offers 95 villas; 36 over-water villas and 59 beach villas.

The resort’s location offers guests prime access to Chickens – one of the world’s top surfing spots.

The resort was designed by Maldivian architectural firm GX Associates in collaboration with Singapore-based interior design firm URBNarc.
