Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has met and held discussions with importers of goods into the nation over the challenges posed for such businesses.
MPL said that it took the initiative in the discussions held with major importers to resolve the issues faced by the businesses. The discussions were taken part by around 20 businesses.
MPL spokesperson Dhaanish Nizaam said that since Ramadan was always a busy month for the port, clearance of goods were arranged in a speedy manner.
“We also met with shipping agencies in the nation earlier this year. We prioritized resolving the issues faced and noted by customers who obtain services from our ports,” said Dhaanish.
MPL said that such meetings would be regularly held with businesses before adding that it was a target of the company to resolve such issues.
