Telecom operator Dhiraagu generated a profit after tax of MVR 188 million during the last quarter of the year 2020.
Financial records released by Dhiraagu show the company generated MVR 621 million as revenue in Q4; including MVR 366 million from mobile services, MVR 241 million from fixed broadband service, and MVR 13,865 from other services.
Dhiraagu, established in 1988, is one of two telecom service operators in Maldives. 52 percent of the shares at Dhiraagu are owned by BTC Islands Limited (Batelco), 41.8 percent by the Maldivian government, and the remaining 6.2 percent by the general public.
