Indian arrested after attacking elderly local inside mosque

An Indian national has been arrested after attacking an elderly man inside a mosque in the suburb of Hulhumale’ today. 

The elderly local was praying inside the Azeeza Mosque in Hulhumale’ when he was attacked by the Indian man.

Police said that the attack was instigated by the Indian man who attempted to forcefully evict the elderly man from the mosque due to “bad odors”. 

Police also said that reports of the violent action by the man were received. 

“The Indian national is now in custody.” Said Police who added that they were now looking into the incident.
