Visit Maldives has launched a digital marketing campaign in France to promote Maldives as a tourist destination during the low season.

The campaign, launched in collaboration with Odigeo - one of France’s top online travel agencies – will run for three months, from January 2 to March 7.

Visit Maldives states the objective of the campaign is to improve Maldives’ brand presence and boost tourist arrivals during the low season.

The campaign will focus on emphasizing Maldives being one of the safest tourist destinations, even during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Visit Maldives states they have a number of campaigns planned for the year to promote Maldives in France, including FAM trips, media trips, various campaigns with online and tour operators, and participation at the upcoming ILTM World Tour.

France is a key source market for tourist arrivals to Maldives. The island nation recorded 28,031 tourist arrivals from France last year, and 1,106 arrivals during the first 10 days of the current year.
