India's Foreign Secretary Shringla arrives in Maldives for official visit

Foreign Secretary of India Harsh Vardhan Shringla has arrived in the Maldives on an official trip. 

Secretary Shringla is visiting the Maldives from November 8-10 and is the first high-level bilateral visit from a senior official of India to the Maldives in 2020. 

Secretary Shringla’s visit is at the invitation of Maldivian Foreign Secretary Abdul Gafoor Mohamed and will see him meet with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as well as Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid. Secretary Shringla will also meet with key ministers in the Maldivian cabinet. 

This is the first visit by Secretary Shringla to the Maldives since taking office in January 29, 2020.
