Ace Travels, a leading travel agency in the Maldives has arranged a chartered flight between Maldives and Malaysia.

The flight will be operated on October 31, according to the Managing Director of Ace Travels Mohamed Firaaq.

Tickets are priced at USD 410 and USD 580. The flight will transport passengers from the Maldives in a one-way flight and transport passengers from Malaysia to the Maldives as well on its return.

Firaaq added that a 30 kg allowance would be arranged for travelers from the flight as well.

Ace Travels had previously arranged a flight for 50 locals studying in Malaysia to travel back to Malaysia after the students returned to the Maldives following the COVID-19 pandemic. The flight was arranged by Ace Travels upon the request of the students. The chartered flight was a plane of national carrier Maldivian.

The Maldives saw a number of returnees abroad due to the virus. However, the border closures mean that there are still a large number of locals abroad wishing to return.
