Ace Travels, a leading travel company in the Maldives in collaboration with Malaysian authorities has arranged the transport of 50 Maldivian students studying in Malaysia.

The students returned to Malaysia after the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to travel back to the Maldives. They had been facing difficulties in returning back to Malaysia to continue their studies due to the travel restrictions in place in light of COVID-19.

A chartered flight of Maldivian, the national flag carrier, by Ace travels transported the students back to Malaysia.

Managing Director of Ace Travels Mohamed Firaq said that difficulties were faced in obtaining the necessary permissions and he thanked the Maldivian consulate in Malaysia and the Maldivian Foreign Ministry for the support.

This is the first such trip organized by Ace Travels upon the request of the students. The initial plan was to conduct the flight on August 17.
