COVID-19 contact leads to isolation of Parliament Counsel-General

The Parliament’s Councilor-General Fathimath Filza has been placed in isolation after contact with a COVID-19 positive case.

An administrative staff of the Parliament Committee on Social Affairs tested positive for the virus last week. Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed said today, that Filza had to go into isolation after contact with the employee.

MP for Kendhikulhudhoo who is the chair of the Committee on Social Affairs also went into isolation recently. 

Speaker Nasheed said that testing the lawmaker for the virus was set to commence.
