MACL warns against groups at VIA due to COVID-19

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has requested not more than one person accompany people to the airport for departure purposes.

Domestic travel has now been commenced after an almost three-month-long hiatus following the COVID-19 outbreak. 

MACL requested against groups of people accompanying departees to the airport for the safety of travelers and staff.

The borders of the country is expected to be reopened on July 15, and international air travel is also to be commenced then.

MACL requested everyone to adhere to the social distancing and safety rules of the Velana International Airport.

The VIA is regularly undergoing decontamination and disinfection efforts.
