The oldest COVID-19 patient in the Maldives, well-known artist, aged 92 has been discharged from the hospital after making a full recovery from the virus.
The patient, Sarudhaaru Dhon Manik, tested positive for COVID-19 on May 29. He was the man behind the design of the first paper currency of the Maldives.
He was treated for the virus at tree Top Hospital after being diagnosed with the virus when he attended the hospital to get treatment for another health issue.
He has now been released from the hospital and is at home.
The Maldives saw the recovery of another 130 individuals from the yesterday. Recovery figures in the country are increasing day by day, which has seen the number of active cases fall to 414. The Maldives has so far confirmed eight deaths due to the virus.
