More flu clinics established across Maldives

More flu clinics have been set up across Maldives to improve the national emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At a press conference at the National Emergency Operations Center on Saturday night, government spokesperson said that 185 people had sought consultations at flu clinics over the past 24 hours.

It includes the flu clinics and the travel clinics established in Male’ region.

Meanwhile, new flu clinics have been established across Maldives; including in Lh. Naifaru, Lh. Hinnavaru, M. Muli, the ones in the regional hospitals in F. Atoll. B. Atoll, Th. Atoll, and Dh. Atoll, and the ones in K. Maafushi, K. Thulusdhoo and K. Kaashidhoo.

17 have tested positive for the virus in Maldives. They include two Maldivian nationals who travelled back from the UK, and two Italian nationals whose test results were received after they departed from Maldives, on March 27. The rest are all foreign nationals either vacationing or working at resorts or safaris.

11 have since recovered, pushing down the number of active cases to 4.
