Authorities are now working on moving the man into isolation.

Authorities are now working on moving the person into isolation and conducting contact tracing of the person who had arrived on the island with another person.
Six cases of the disease have been identified in the country so far. They are four from Kuredu Island Resort and Two from Sandies Bathala Resort. A similar case of a local who is suspected of the disease has also seen temporary restrictions placed on Vilamendhoo Resort. In addition to resorts, the Maagiri Hotel in Male’ city is also closed for disinfection.
