A car crash accident that occurred in Bangkok, Thailand has injured three Maldivians with one suffering serious injuries.
The accident occurred after a crash that overturned the taxi they were traveling. The Maldivian embassy in Thailand stated that the accident occurred when the men were traveling from Suvarnabhumi Airport to their hotel and also stated that it was assisting the family of those injured.
Officials of MDVinThailand are assisting the family of a Maldivian national who has been critically injured following a car accident in the early morning hours today, while on their way to the hotel from Suvarnabhumi Airport, #Bangkok.

The two men injured have been named Ahmed Saeed, Abdulla Sabah both from S. Hulhudhoo and Ahmed Rasheed from the capital Male’ city. Saeed is the younger brother of Sabah. Sabah and Rasheed who are both businessmen were in Bangkok for a business trip.
Saeed suffered the most serious injuries from the accident. A close friend of the men in Bangkok that spoke to “Sun” said that Saeed suffered a brain hemorrhage due to the accident and was now undergoing surgery.
The man also quoted doctors as saying that Saeed was left paralyzed from the neck down after the accident. He is being treated in the ICU of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, which is regarded as one of Thailand’s finest hospitals.
The man who spoke to “Sun” also speculated that the accident occurred when the driver of the taxi fell asleep while sleeping. The taxi overturned when it hit a concrete block and Bangkok police have now arrested the driver.
The Maldivian embassy is now working to contact the families of those injured and embassy officials are also at the hospital where the men are being treated.
