Judiciary Committee approves impeachment of Chief Justice, Justice Adam

The Judicial Committee of the Parliament has stated that the JSC acted correctly in recommending the impeachment of Chief Justice Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi and Justice Adam Mohamed from the Supreme Court.

The recommendation to impeach the two judges by JSC was sent to the Parliament yesterday after the conclusion of the ethics and disciplinary investigation by the Committee.

At the meeting of the Judiciary Committee today, five members voted to impeach the two judges.
