The Indian government has presented a large consignment of ammunition to the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).
The ammunition was presented by Indian Ambassador Sunjay Sudhir to the Maldivian Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi in a ceremony held onboard ICGS Samarth – the Indian Coastguard’s latest and largest offshore patrol vessel – on Tuesday.
Mariya, in a tweet later on Tuesday, thanked Ambassador Sudhir for the consignment of ammunition.
“We appreciate the assistance India continuously provide us to keep our country safe,” she said.
