Bank of Maldives (BML) has donated 60 wheelchairs for people in need in different islands across the country as part of its “Aharenge Bank” program.

The wheelchairs donated are motorized and follow the bank’s initiative last year that saw it donate 76 wheelchairs. CEO and MD of BML Tim Sawyer stated that BML will always focus on providing aid and assistance to the community.

“The Specialized wheelchairs will bring a great change to the lives of many. And that is something that makes us immensely happy.” Said Sawyer.

BML also aids and funds different educational and environmental activities carried out in different parts of the country by different organizations.
