World Health Organisation's (WHO) South Asia Regional Committee has begun its 72nd annual meeting on discussions of important health-related issues and ways of developing the sector even further.
The meeting held with top officials from the health sector from regional countries in New Delhi, India will conclude on September 6. The Maldivian delegation at the meeting is made up of officials from the Health Ministry and Maldivian Embassy in New Delhi, India and is headed by Health Minister Abdulla Ameen and Maldivian Ambassador to India Aishath Mohamed Didi.
Health Ministry stated that a meeting will be held to discuss precautionary measures on an individual scale. A resolution under the name "Delhi Declaration on Emergency Preparedness in the South East Asia region" is also planned to be passed.
Other than this, the conference will also see discussions be held regarding the work carried out to eradicate the world of cervical cancer. The discussions will be focused on improving the work and work by the health sector regarding sustainable development goals.
