Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) reports 259 cases were registered with the commission in the second quarter of the year.
Q2 statistics released by ACC show the commission processed 251 out of the 259 cases registered with the commission for investigation.
18 of the cases were rejected and diverted to other State institutions because it did not fall within the ACC’s mandate.
The commission also made the decision to reject 44 additional cases due to either insufficient information or lack of compatibility with the ACC’s mandate within Q2.
ACC reports the largest percentage of cases registered to the commission in Q2 had been regarding procurement irregularities. Additional cases registered included cases related to employment, housing, tenancy, salary and allowance, and election and campaign irregularities.
