Reeko Ibrahim Manik passes away

Former vice president of the parliament Reeko Moosa Manik's brother Reeko Ibrahim Manik has passed away.

Ibrahim Manik who was a strong critic former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom passed away at the age of 69.

He also founded one of the first political parties in the country in 2008 under the name of the Maldivian Social Democratic Party (MSDP) and served as its leader after he was elected in the first congress meeting of the party. However, the party was later dismantled due to a lack of members. 

Reeko Ibrahim Manik's Janazah or funeral prayer will be at the Aasaharaa Mosque after the Asr Prayers.
