Maldivian medical students granted discounts on tuition at UCSI University

Tuition fee for courses in the medical field has been lowered for Maldivian students from Malaysian University UCSI.

Ministry of Higher Education states that students of Doctor of Medicine and Bachelors of Pharmacy will be granted a 15 percent discount from their tuition fees.

Additionally, a 25 percent discount on tuition fee will be given in more than 50 courses available in UCSI.

Ministry informed that more than 50 students are currently studying in UCSI.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has pledged to treat higher education as a top priority during his administration.

Within the first 100 days in office President Solih announced the decision to offer first-degree courses free of fee at two government universities; and cover a large percentage of the first-degree tuition fees offered at private colleges operating in Maldives.
