President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih says he has taken approximately 60,000 selfies in the four months of his presidency.
Solih, who assumed office on November 17, 2018, is often pictured during official events obligingly taking selfies with members of the general public.
In an interview on the RaajjeTV show, Fashaa Iru, this Wednesday morning, Solih said that he hasn’t visited many places since he assumed office, but has taken approximately 60,000 selfies.
“I am continuing taking [selfies]. It’s requested every time I meet members of the general public. I have taken over approximately 60,000 selfies since I assumed office,” said Solih, in his first exclusive interview to the press since assuming office.
While the President places the number of selfies in the first four months of his presidency at 60,000. He took even more selfies during the presidential campaign. He reported in an earlier interview to the press he took approximately 200,000 selfies during the presidential campaign.
