Construction of the runway, taxiway and apron at the Sh. Funadhoo Domestic Airport is now complete, reports Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
The project’s contractor, MTCC reports the construction was completed on March 13.
The runway at Funadhoo Airport stretches 1200 meters in length and 30 meters in width; the taxiway has a length of 90 meters and width of 15 meters; and the apron has a length 150 meters and width of 15 meters.

Funadhoo Airport Project is funded by the State.
Both land reclamation and construction work of the project was contracted to MTCC.
MTCC, in an earlier statement, reported that the Funadhoo Airport would be ready for test flights once the runway was complete.
