Maldives Immigration, in collaboration with local and international liaisons, has initiated a three-day inter-agency training program on border security.
The training program, Border Security, Fraudulent Identities and Document Security, was inaugurated in a ceremony held at the Customs Building by Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure, Mohamed Aslam this Sunday morning.
The program is aimed at training aviation industry and border security stakeholders, and is attended by 114 participants from Maldives Immigration, Maldives Customs Services, Maldives Police Service, Maldives National Defense Force, Aviation Security Command, Maldives Airports Company Limited and Maldives Correctional Service.
The three-day training program was organized by Maldives Immigration, immigration liaison officers, and experts from United States, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.
It is aimed at horning the skills of border security officers and reinforcing border security of Maldives.
