Maldivian Ambassador presents credentials to Indian President

The Maldivian Ambassador to India, Aishath Mohamed Didi, has presented her credentials to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. 

The special ceremony was held today at the Indian President's official residence, Rashtrapati Bhavan. At the ceremony, the Indian President welcomed the Maldivian Ambassador and expressed prosperity for the Maldivian people.

The Maldivian Ambassador thanked the Indian government for their assistance in the development projects in the Maldives and assured that she would work to foster the relationship between the two country. 

Aishath Mohamed Didi is the fifth Maldivian Ambassador to India since bilateral relations were established on 1 November 1965. She is also the first female Ambassador to India.
