Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has begun installing roofs at the bus stops in Male’ City on the Greater Male’ Transport Link.
MPL’s media official reports all bus stops in Male’ City will have roofs within one week.
“The roofs are being installed as an initiative by MPS. These places will have roofs within about a week,” said the media official.
The rate of bus services on the Greater Male’ Transport Link is MVR 10. And passengers need to use a rechargeable bus card to obtain the service.
Though the bus service is currently provided by MPL, which reports it invested MVR 100 million to launch the service in 2018, Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation recently announced plans to consolidate bus services and transfer it to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
