Company established for welfare of military officers

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Yameen has decreed the establishment of Sifainge Ekuveri Kunfuni (SEK), a company for welfare of officers at the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).

SEK was established last Monday.

SEK is 100 percent State-owned and started with a capital of MVR 100 billion.

Commenting on the establishment of SEK, Minister of Defense, Adam Shareef Umar said the new company will improve the state of welfare and finance of the military.

The MNDF already has a company established for welfare of military officers.
