Nurses to get 15 percent raise

Nurses in the Maldives have received a salary raise of 15 percent. 

Ministry of Health issued a statement today saying that changes have been brought to the employment structure of the nurses adding new things. 

And along with a 15 percent raise, nurses are now eligible for promotions every two years based on education and quality of work. 

The statement also said that higher education in nursing would be possible for nurses along with the introduction of specialized nurses. 

As the health sector grows and develops, Health Ministry said that nursing is in need of progress.
