MVR 10 and MVR 100 notes reprinted

MVR 10 and MVR 100 notes of the Randhiha Faheh (Golden 50) note series have been reprinted and brought to the country, says Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA).

MMA said this Thursday that a new stock of the currency notes had to be printed due to a shortage in the current stock. The authority said the new stock was brought to the country this Thursday, and that is currently being kept at the Treasury.

The authority has not disclosed the exact amount of money reprinted.

The Randhiha Faheh note series has additional security features and is printed on polymer paper. It was introduced on November 1, 2015.
