Junaid appointed Commissioner General of Customs again

Mohamed Junaid has been appointed to the post of Commissioner General of Customs by President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

Junaid, who served as Commissioner General of Customs prior to his most recent appointment as CEO of Maldives Ports Limited was appointed to the post this Tuesday, in a function held at the President’s Office.

Junaid resigned from his post as CEO of MPL in February, 2017, citing that he wanted to spend more time with his family.

The former Commissioner General of Customs, Ibrahim Shareef was removed from the post last Monday. President’s Office reports Ibrahim Shareef has been re-assigned the Maldivian Trade Representative in Melbourne, Australia.
