Yellow Alert for a large portion of the country

A Yellow weather alert has been issued for a large portion of the country expecting the torrential rains to continue. 

The MET Office tweeted today saying that saying that the weather is expected to get worse with heavy rain for the atolls between Haa Alifu atoll to Laamu atoll with winds averaging between 30-40 mph and up to 45 mph during showers. 

This is the fifth Yellow Alert in the Past 24 hours.
